Arrive at Guwahati and begin a scenic drive through the lush Assam plains towards Tezpur, the City of Eternal Romance. En route, enjoy views of tea gardens and the mighty Brahmaputra before checking in and settling into a welcome dinner.

Tezpur · Dirang
After breakfast, depart for Dirang through the breathtaking foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. Visit the renowned Tipi Orchidarium, the ancient Nag Temple, fragrant apple orchards, kiwi farms and traditional Buddhist monasteries before arriving beside the Dirang Chu river valley.

Dirang · Tawang
Cross the legendary Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Pause beside serene Sela Lake, pay homage at Jaswantgarh War Memorial and witness Nuranang Falls cascading through the mountains before continuing to Tawang.

Tawang
Explore magnificent Tawang Monastery, the largest in India and the second largest in the world, perched dramatically at 10,000 feet. Visit Urgeling Gompa, birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama, and the Tawang War Memorial before taking in the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and prayer flags.

Leave Tawang after breakfast and begin the scenic descent through the Eastern Himalayas. Explore ancient hillside monasteries and arrive in Bomdila, the headquarters of West Kameng, known for its apple orchards, serene monasteries and breathtaking mountain vistas. Visit Bomdila Monastery and enjoy golden hour over the horizon.

Leave the mountains behind and descend into the lush foothills towards Nameri National Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise along the Jia Bhoroli River. The pristine biosphere reserve is home to more than 300 avian species, including the endangered White-winged Wood Duck. Unwind with a riverside camp and nature walk.

Nameri · Guwahati
After breakfast, depart Nameri for Guwahati through the Assam plains. Check in and freshen up on arrival, then choose an optional sunset cruise as the sun lowers over the mighty Brahmaputra, one of the world’s great rivers.

After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, perched on Nilachal Hill above the Brahmaputra. After the temple visit, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station with memories of the Hidden Paradise of Arunachal Pradesh.
